Bridge to New Beginnings 4 Ukrainian Refugees (BNB4UR) is a 15-month Erasmus+ KA210 Youth small-scale partnership (Sept 2024–Nov 2025) that equips young volunteers in Poland and Romania to better support the education, adaptation, and social inclusion of Ukrainian refugee youth. The project will co-create practical tools—a volunteer guide, a set of operational materials, and engaging workshop scenarios for peer-to-peer learning—to help make first contact, build trust, and run effective integration activities. Coordinated by the Social Innovation Cluster (Poland) with Asociatia Se Poate (Romania), BNB4UR strengthens community participation and European values while delivering open, replicable resources.

Project Output
The Volunteer Guidebook — “Bridges of Understanding” is a practical, co-created handbook for youth volunteers supporting young migrants and refugees. Built by volunteers from Poland and Romania with expert oversight, it offers step-by-step advice for making first contact, building trust, identifying needs, and running peer-education activities that foster integration and wellbeing. It covers core topics such as relationship-building, overcoming shyness, needs assessment, culturally responsive methods, and inclusive workshop practices, all tailored to real challenges volunteers face. Published as an open, online resource of about 60 pages in Polish, Romanian, and English, the guidebook follows WCAG 2.2 accessibility principles so it can be used widely across support centers and youth groups.
