Context
Born from a real need, the Construct Your Future project is a youth-led initiative that combines European solidarity values with modern methods of non-formal education, sustainable development, and civic engagement. This project responded to specific gaps in the community and offered a viable, sustainable, and attractive alternative for the young generation in an area where such opportunities are rare or even non-existent. With the support of the European Solidarity Corps and the Se Poate Association, the project opened a new path toward knowledge, involvement, and transformation.

Construct Your Future was a 12-month project (June 2024 – May 2025), implemented under the European Solidarity Corps. Supported by EU funding, it aimed to support the personal, professional, and civic development of 70 young people from the rural commune of Lipănești, Romania, by setting up a functional youth space and organizing non-formal educational activities tailored to their needs.

Project Objectives
Create a modern and attractive space for young people in Lipănești
Develop transversal skills (communication, leadership, project management) and professional competences (photography, entrepreneurship)
Promote a sustainable and responsible lifestyle
Strengthen civic participation and social interaction
The project activities were designed to respond directly to the needs expressed by the youth in Lipănești, who wanted a meeting space, practical learning opportunities, and ways to get involved locally. Activities combined non-formal learning, hands-on participation, and collaboration in a friendly, accessible environment.

Construct Your Future aimed to provide young people in Lipănești with a complete platform: a space created by youth, for youth; applied projects; up-to-date competences; and opportunities to become active citizens. Through non-formal education and social interaction, the project equipped participants with tools for their future while building a network of engaged rural youth.
